Revision of Guest House rules to help protect you, ourselves and our future guests. Last reviewed in January 2022.

Things are finally looking brighter for travelling and we can't wait to welcome you in a more relaxed setting! But we’ve also decided to maintain most of the measures we had in place since 2020 to ensure that both you, our family and future guests stay safe. As your host, we are committing to abide by the latest guidance from both local authority and the government to ensure your safety during the length of your stay. We therefore ask you to read this notice to ensure you fully recognise what changes we have made to our business and also your responsibilities to protect yourselves and any other persons.

What you can expect from us

  • Our cleaning regime will stay as thorough as it's always been with an additional focus on high touch points. Windows both in your room and common spaces are left open as much as possible. We've also increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas, especially “touch points”

  • We keep a social distance from our guests at all times

  • We provide hand cleaning gel outside the house, in the porch and on the landing (DVD section) at all times

  • We are available 24 hours a day. We live on-site and in case of any emergencies, you can contact us

  • All food is prepared here in our kitchens on-site and only by ourselves.

  • Tea and Coffee facilities are provided for each room and renewed for each guest

  • Breakfast is currently served in the guest lounge by time slots

  • Check-in in time is from 15:00. As we are a family and don’t have 24 hour reception we appreciate if you can let us know a rough time of arrival. Evening check ins (from 19:00) must be arranged beforehand.

  • Payment:  Your card (card used when booking) will be charged the remaining room rate due 2 weeks before your check in date and your receipt can be provided upon request.

What we expect from you

  • If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms then government advice is that you do not travel and therefore cancel your booking

  • We expect you to adhere to all social distancing measures when in public areas and respect the concerns of other guests

  • We ask you to use the alcohol gel provided at the main door and hallway areas when (re)entering the building at any time

  • Pre book your dinner in local restaurants as space is limited and no hot food is allowed in the rooms. We have a guest lounge that is open to eat in

  • Early check in will not be possible due to the increased time for cleaning. Please don’t arrive before 15:00. If you are walking the West Highland Way, the section from Kingshouse should take you about 4h-6h so keep that in mind when deciding on a leaving time.

  • If you or anyone of your party are showing any symptoms of the Coronavirus, we would ask you or someone in your party to notify us immediately by messaging us on Whatsapp and remain isolated in your room awaiting further instructions

  • Any guests or visitors that we deem as not adhering to the new guidelines that all businesses and society have had to adopt to prevent the spread of the virus will be asked to leave the premises immediately

Any questions before your stay please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
